Lando Norris has announced the creation of a new racing team, LN4 Fusion, which will compete in junior series. The LN4 Fusion team will debut in 2027 in the Formula 3, FRECA, and Italian Formula 4 series. This is an extremely interesting project with a chance for great success.

I am very positively surprised by Lando Norris’s move, because when I looked into the details of his new team (and the support he managed to gather), this project has a chance for great success. I would not be surprised if within 2-3 years it becomes the most popular team in junior series among fans. There is no guarantee that it will immediately compete for championships in the individual series, but in terms of marketing and publicity, it should be a leader. At the same time, this will positively impact the individual junior series.
Lando Norris launches LN4 Fusion team for junior series
Lando Norris had been hinting at an important announcement for several days and on September 2nd announced the launch of the new racing team LN4 Fusion. The British driver is a co-owner, and at the head of the entire group of investors is Dan Richards, who will manage the business aspects of the project. Obviously, Norris is the face of the team and will be involved in it, combining this with competing in Formula 1, where he recently signed a contract with McLaren until 2030. Now we see that the salary raise he will get in F1 will help in starting the new business in junior series.
The LN4 Fusion team will compete on tracks from 2027. They already have spots in the Formula 3, FRECA, and Italian Formula 4 series (the strongest of the F4 series). Spots in Formula 3 are limited, teams sign multi-year contracts to compete there. Lando Norris’s team bought the spot from the AIX Racing team, as well as some of their other selected assets. This shows they have serious money and plans. The LN4 Fusion team has already started a testing program with cars from British Formula 4, working on entering that series as soon as possible. LN4 Fusion will also participate in the tender for competing in Formula 2 in the 2027–2029 seasons, for which they have real chances. The completely new team will start competing in at least three to even five racing series in 2027. They aim for every level of the ladder. This requires a very large support base related to people, factory, and money.

LN4 Fusion team cars in all series will use the same colors that Lando Norris has been known for years. Fluorescent yellow will dominate along with a distinctive pattern, as well as blue color.
The team boss will be a true legend of the junior series – Rene Rosin. The Italian worked for 23 years at the Prema team, including 20 years as the boss. Earlier this year he left that team, and his entire family withdrew – they were co-owners. Anyone interested in junior series knows that Prema is one of the best teams in recent years. The head of the UK branch will be the highly experienced Dan Hazlewood.

The team currently already has 17 sponsors including the main one. Several of them previously supported Lando Norris, now they will join this team. In junior series, such a number of sponsors in a team who are not connected to paying drivers is something exceptional. You can see their list below.
Support for young drivers within the LN4 Legacy Programme
Besides the new team, Lando Norris also announced the launch of the “LN4 Legacy Programme.” It will be a program that will fully finance the careers of young drivers. Its operator will be ADD Management (they have managed Norris throughout his career). Norris has committed to supporting talented drivers with his own private money, who otherwise would not be able to continue their careers. The head of this program will be Julian Rouse (another highly experienced person from junior series), whose task will be to find young talents and then provide them with development opportunities.
P.S. It would be very nice if one of the Polish drivers joined the LN4 Fusion team next season. It would give such a driver more publicity than in typical, less media-focused teams. On the other hand, we can be sure that many drivers will want to race in this team and a behind-the-scenes bidding for places will begin.
It has happened that Formula 1 drivers invested in various motorsport ventures and their own teams. For several years Max Verstappen has had his own team “Verstappen.com Racing,” which competes in various racing series. They focus on endurance racing, this year using a Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo car. The Dutch driver is not only the owner but also sometimes races and regularly tests. However, his team has very little to do with F1 or junior series.
