Aston Martin organized the presentation for the 2026 season with great fanfare at the Ithra cultural center in the city of Dhahran, Saudi Arabia. The location was not accidental, as their title sponsor Aramco, as well as main sponsor Ma’aden, come from this country. Aramco’s role has increased from 2026, as they will be supplying fuel for the new Honda engine. Aramco is supplying fuel for F1 for the first time. The presentation was done on a grand scale; they invited representatives of their partners, as well as many journalists, and the head of Formula 1 was also present. Unfortunately, there were significant technical problems; the broadcast started with a delay of several minutes, followed by sound issues and an interruption in the coverage. Ultimately, it seems to me that the presentation was not broadcast live, but with a slight delay caused by technical problems. Earlier, they aired a live introduction exclusively on their TikTok account, which recently extended its sponsorship deal. During the presentation, there was a speech by Lawrence Stroll, interviews with the drivers, an artistic segment, a conversation with Adrian Newey, as well as representatives from Aramco, Honda, and Valvoline.
During the livery presentation, we did not see the real AMR26 car, which at that time was being prepared for testing in Bahrain. The new livery was shown on a “concept car”. It was not the standard model seen at other presentations, but a model prepared by the team. It incorporates concepts known from the real car but is much less developed. We saw the real car during testing in Barcelona, when it was not painted at all due to a lack of time. Its shapes were much more radical and complex.

Aston Martin is green and black again and has a stable number of strong sponsors
In 2026, the team continues the color scheme used for several years. This is no surprise, as green is the most important color for Aston Martin. This year, there is slightly more green on the car’s bodywork at the expense of black, which is a good decision. Additionally, the rear wing is blue due to Aramco. A bit more yellow elements can also be seen on the bodywork, giving the whole thing dynamism. An interesting detail is the very cool combination of the British flag on the nose with the green color. On the wheel covers, there are white advertisements for Celsius, which blends well with the hard Pirelli tires, but in my opinion, it won’t look as good with the mediums and softs.
Aston Martin has a very solid set of sponsors and technical partners, one of the best on the grid. The list from the announcements includes 35 sponsors, including several major deals. The title sponsor is Aramco, and the main sponsor is Ma’aden. They maintained most of their key partners and also managed to acquire new ones, such as watch manufacturer Breitling and energy drink manufacturer CELSIUS.

Recording of the Aston Martin presentation broadcast from Saudi Arabia
There were serious technical problems with the live broadcast. After the broadcast ended, the team removed its recording from YouTube and added a separate recording in the form of a new video.
Summary of the Aston Martin presentation before the 2026 season
Technical problems with the broadcast cast a shadow over the presentation. The event itself, despite the unique location, was quite classic; the vast majority consisted of conversations. Let’s be honest, mostly very boring and on obvious topics. In my opinion, the car looks very nice, but I will hold off on a final assessment until it hits the track.
The team has extremely high expectations for the 2026 season; it is meant to be a breakthrough for them. For the first time, they have access to a factory-level power unit, their own fuel and oil supplier. The new car was developed in the recently built factory and, for the first time, in their own wind tunnel.
