It’s official! After winning the title of second runner-up in the 2025 season, Kacper Sztuka will remain in Eurocup-3 for another year. The Pole has changed teams and will represent Tecnicar, which debuted in this series at the end of the previous championship edition.

In recent months, there has been much talk about Kacper’s main goal being promotion to Formula 2. Despite interest from several teams – due to budgetary reasons – it was not possible to compete in F1’s direct feeder series. Therefore, one of the options was to continue his career in Eurocup-3.
The sporting level of this series grows year by year. Many drivers representing Formula 1 team academies compete in it. “The last season showed that many excellent young generation drivers compete here. The grid currently numbers nearly 30 drivers,” said Kacper, who finished third among 38 classified drivers in the championship last season.
It is worth adding that the Pole was also the best in the entire Campos Racing team, winning two races, standing on the podium seven times, and enjoying pole position four times. “Last year was definitely very successful. I am happy because I managed to finish the championship on the overall standings podium. After the 2024 season, which was a bit more difficult, these results certainly reminded many people of me,” added the 2023 Italian F4 champion.
In the 2026 season, Kacper joins the Tecnicar by Amtog team, with whom he recently had the opportunity to compete in the Spanish Winter Championship Eurocup-3 2026. The Pole raced on tracks such as Portimao, Jarama, and Motorland Aragon.
“The new season will certainly be a challenge. Tecnicar last year only competed at Jerez and Barcelona, which were the weekends when I won, stood on the podium, and took pole position. I am glad that as a new team on the grid, they want to work with me and use my acquired experience. I hope it will translate into increasingly better positions in each of the upcoming rounds,” Sztuka noted.

The 2026 Eurocup-3 season kicks off on May 1st in France at the Paul Ricard circuit. The upcoming edition is expected to consist of eight rounds. The entire field will get behind the wheel of a new car. From this year, drivers will race in the Dallara 326.

My comment on Kacper Sztuka’s plans for 2026
Unfortunately, it’s hard to consider Kacper Sztuka’s decision a success. The Pole already competed with this team earlier this year in the winter series and did not score any points in nine races, often finishing in distant positions. In 2025, the Pole already competed in Eurocup-3, but with Campos, he did very well and finished third in the overall standings at the end of the season. With such results, he should have moved up to better racing series, but he stayed in Eurocup-3, moving to a new, potentially much weaker team. Kacper Sztuka, by staying in this series, should theoretically fight for the championship in 2026, as most of his rivals will be younger than him and will be debutants in this series. However, due to moving to a weaker team, as well as the change in cars that drivers will compete in, he loses his experience advantage. I fear that his results will be significantly worse than in 2025, and this will cast a shadow over his career. A glimmer of hope is offered by the pre-season tests, which took place at the turn of March and April, as Sztuka’s results there were at times much better than in the winter series. I hope this is a harbinger of a better season than I expect.
The fact that Kacper Sztuka announced his target plans for the 2026 season only on April 20 says a lot about his current sponsorship background, which must be worse than a year earlier. Otherwise, it is impossible to explain the move to a weaker team, despite very good sporting results. There were plans and dreams for Formula 2, but there must have been a significant lack of money. In Poland, we have many young drivers in junior series, and there is a natural competition among them for sponsors and media/fan interest. Sztuka needs success this year, otherwise, he will be overshadowed by others in the media, and then acquiring sponsors will not be possible.
