Kacper Sztuka is halfway through the 2026 season in the Eurocup-3 series. The Pole is the clear leader of the Tecnicar by Amtog team, having scored all the points for them this year, and has also stood on the podium twice.

Last weekend, the drivers of the Eurocup-3 series competed at the Monza circuit in Italy in two races. It was the fourth of eight rounds planned for this year. Below, see what Kacper Sztuka said about this round in a submitted statement, and at the end, you can read my commentary.
Show of Kacper Sztuka at the Monza track! From 16th on the grid to the podium
It was one of the craziest race weekends in Kacper Sztuka’s career! The Polish driver once again jumped onto the Eurocup-3 race podium. This time he did it starting from… 16th on the grid!
The weekend at Monza did not start too optimistically for Kacper. On Friday, during the second practice session, he was prematurely eliminated from the competition by… a fire extinguisher. After one of the rivals went off track at Lesmo, a lot of stones flew towards the Pole’s car. They hit the car so unfortunately that the fire suppression system was activated.
Kacper finished Saturday’s qualifying in 13th place, but unfortunately did not start the race. On the formation lap, an unusual suspension failure forced him to make a quick visit to the mechanics. The car was repaired, but Kacper appeared on the track after nearly 20 minutes. However, it was important to gather valuable data before Sunday. It started with qualifying, which Kacper finished in 16th position. The situation was not helped by a red flag. It appeared less than 5 minutes before the end of the session, when the Polish driver was starting a fast timed lap. Despite this, Kacper was able to join the fight for the podium.
Again, the excellent start of the Pole played an important role! After just a few minutes, he moved from 16th to 8th place. It became clear that the podium was within reach. After many great overtaking maneuvers, Kacper finished 4th. However, it turned out that one of the Palou Motorsport drivers used the push-to-pass system in an unauthorized way, resulting in a 10-second penalty added to his time. This penalty meant that Kacper finished in the TOP3 for the second time this season.
“We got it! Another podium in the Sunday race – this time at Monza! I moved up 13 places, we achieved our goal! There was a lot of fighting. We made significant progress throughout the weekend. Saturday and Sunday qualifying were not easy for us, but we greatly improved the car, which allowed me to gain position after position in the race” – noted the Polish driver.

“I am very proud of the work my team – Tecnicar by Amtog – has done. We are constantly improving. From weekend to weekend, it gets better. It’s good to see that even from difficult moments we can draw conclusions. We take more valuable points with us, and the championship situation has improved again” – concluded the 6th driver in the overall standings.
The drivers have completed 4 of 8 rounds this season. The next is scheduled for September 11-13 at the Silverstone circuit.

Additional information and my commentary
Kacper Sztuka finished third in the Eurocup-3 series in 2025. He should be racing in a more competitive series this year, but due to budget reasons, he stayed in the same one and simultaneously moved to a new team, Tecnicar by Amtog, for whom this season is the first full one in this series. Sztuka is the clear leader of the team and helps in its development. He scored no points in the winter series, which shows the level from which this team is starting competition. In the main season, he started better and there is noticeable improvement from weekend to weekend. In the third and fourth weekends, he stood on the podium – twice in third places. He scored points six times in total, earning a full 62 points for his team. Thanks to the Pole, the debuting Tecnicar by Amtog team is exactly in the middle of the overall standings, with only significantly better teams above. With a bit of luck, the Pole has a chance to finish the season around the overall podium, which would be a significant achievement, but let’s also remember that he has an experience advantage over most rivals.
Regarding his further career, Kacper Sztuka must make an important decision soon. It is clear that the budget is lacking, and continuing to race in series at this level is not feasible. Therefore, he must have a plan B, and according to an interview he gave a few weeks ago to the Eurosport.TVN24.pl service, endurance racing could be such a plan.
