Since the 2022 season, the team has regularly refreshed the look of its cars before competing at the famous Monza circuit. In previous years, these were mostly minor graphic tweaks, yellow accents, or unique driver suits. This time, the Italian team decided to go a step further. Michael Schumacher. The genius who transformed Ferrari
Michael Schumacher is an absolutely monumental figure. A true icon. An outstanding talent. When the German driver signed a contract with Ferrari before the 1996 season, he already had an established position on the track. Two championship trophies won with the Benetton team were proof of his incredible skill behind the wheel. He could have easily stayed with his previous team and calmly fought for more trophies. However, he chose a much tougher path. He decided to rebuild the former status of Scuderia, which had not been able to win an individual world championship since 1979.
The beginnings in Maranello proved to be extremely bumpy. The first car from 1996 turned out to be temperamental, unreliable, and difficult to tame, especially on fast corners. Despite many technical flaws, Schumacher managed to get the maximum out of it (as confirmed by his spectacular victory during the rainy Spanish Grand Prix). The road to the top was not easy. It required enormous determination. In his debut season with Ferrari, the German had to acknowledge the superiority of Damon Hill from Williams. The following year, he lost a fierce battle to Jacques Villeneuve (after a famous collision in Jerez, which ended with Schumacher’s disqualification from the overall classification). Meanwhile, in 1998-1999, Mika Hakkinen representing McLaren impressed with championship form.
Schumacher did not give up. He endured difficult moments. Finally, between 2000-2004, he created an unbeatable duo with the Italian team: he won five consecutive titles and brought Ferrari to the top, as confirmed by analyses from betting companies.

Historic livery at Monza. How will Ferrari honor the champion?
This year’s round at the Monza circuit will have a deeply symbolic dimension. It has been exactly 30 years since Michael Schumacher first wore the red suit of the Maranello team. According to the Italian service Auto Racer, the team decided to celebrate this milestone anniversary in a spectacular way. The Italian stable’s cars will hit the home track in colors directly referring to the memorable 1996 design.
This is a return to the roots. The red body will feature distinctive black elements on the front and rear wings, complemented by gold rims. This color scheme immediately evokes memories of the champion’s first steps in Maranello. Although that car caused many problems for mechanics and drivers, it was the one that started the process that forever changed the balance of power in Formula 1.
