Achievements and records of drivers who finished on the podium
Charles Leclerc won his first race this year and the ninth overall in his career.
Leclerc recorded his 53rd podium in his career.
Leclerc earned his fourth podium at Silverstone.
Leclerc matched his best qualifying result this season – second position.
George Russell recorded his 29th podium in his career.
Russell scored points only three times in nine F1 race starts at Silverstone.
Lewis Hamilton recorded his 207th podium in his career.
Hamilton earned his 16th podium at Silverstone, improving his own F1 record for the number of podiums at a single track. In second place is also Hamilton, who stood on the podium 13 times at the track near Barcelona.
Hamilton earned his 15th podium in the British Grand Prix, improving his own F1 record for the number of podiums in a single Grand Prix. Second are Michael Schumacher (three different races) and Hamilton (two different races), who stood on the podium 12 times in them.
Hamilton started in 21 F1 races at Silverstone. He finished 16 of them on the podium and three in fourth place. In the 2012 season, he finished eighth, and in 2009, the only time he did not score points, he finished 16th. He always finishes the race.

Hamilton is the sole record holder at Silverstone for the number of wins, podiums, Pole Positions, and points. Only in the fastest laps ranking does he share the record with Nigel Mansell.
Leclerc and Hamilton stood together on the podium as Ferrari drivers for the first time. They have been on the podium together 16 times in total.
Achievements of other drivers
Lando Norris finished the last four British Grand Prix races in the TOP4 positions, but always in a different position.
Norris always scores points in races at Silverstone except for his debut, when in 2019 he finished 11th.
Norris always advances to Q3 in qualifying at Silverstone: 9/9 occasions. With team partners, his record is 8:1.
Isack Hadjar finished the last five F1 races in the TOP6 positions but has never formally earned a podium.
Liam Lawson scored points for the first time in his career in five consecutive races.

Ferrari recorded a double podium for the first time this season. The last time their drivers stood together on the podium was after the 2024 Abu Dhabi GP.
Mercedes recorded its 152nd Pole Position in Formula 1, including the 12th at Silverstone.
In the last three British Grand Prix races, only one Mercedes driver scored points.
The Mercedes team participated in its 350th F1 race.
For the fourth consecutive time, the Racing Bulls team scored double points.
The Audi team achieved its best result in F1 history – eighth place in a race.
Other statistical curiosities after the 2026 British GP
The 2026 British GP was the 61st F1 race at Silverstone (one of these races was in 2020 under the name 70th GP).
The British Grand Prix races have taken place in every Formula 1 season: 60 times at Silverstone, 12 times at Brands Hatch, and 5 times at Aintree.
The British have won 25 F1 races at Silverstone.
It took Italians 73 years until their driver again started from Pole Position in an F1 race at Silverstone (previously Alberto Ascari in 1953).
Hamilton is the only driver who completed all laps this season.

Out of 27 possible podiums this year: Mercedes earned 12, Ferrari eight, McLaren four, Red Bull two, and Alpine one.
Lap times, top speed, and pit stops at the 2026 British GP
Kimi Antonelli won qualifying for the 2026 British GP with a time of 1:28.111. The Mercedes driver’s result was 3.808 seconds slower than the Silverstone qualifying record set by Lewis Hamilton in 2020 – 1:24.303.
Kimi Antonelli set the fastest lap during the race. The Italian clocked 1:31.777 on lap 37. This is 4.68 seconds slower than the official Silverstone track record (official records come from races) set in 2020 by Max Verstappen – 1:27.097.
The highest top speed during the race was achieved by Lewis Hamilton. The Briton recorded 351.5 km/h at the top speed measurement point. According to telemetry data, Hamilton accelerated to 352 km/h, meaning he slightly increased speed after passing the measurement point. In 2025, the maximum speed in the British GP F1 race was significantly lower – 344.1 km/h by Oliver Bearman.
The fastest pit stop during the 2026 British GP was performed by the Mercedes team mechanics. On lap 34, they changed all wheels on Kimi Antonelli’s car in 2.18 seconds. The season record remains Ferrari’s result from the Japanese GP – 2.00 seconds. The overall Formula 1 record remains the McLaren pit stop with Lando Norris during the 2023 Qatar GP – 1.80 seconds.
Attendance at the 2026 British GP
In 2026, Silverstone had a record weekend attendance in the entire history of F1. According to organizers, there were 72,000 fans at the track on Thursday, 150,000 on Friday, 167,000 on Saturday, and 175,000 on Sunday. The total weekend attendance was therefore 564,000 fans. For comparison, last year the weekend attendance was 500,000 people.
